Download Bandcamp Streams - and When to Buy Instead
Bandcamp lets artists sell directly, and a purchase there returns more money to the musician than any streaming service does. If you like a release enough to want a permanent copy, buying it gets you lossless FLAC, ALAC or WAV plus artwork and liner notes - genuinely better files than any downloader can produce from a stream.
What this captures is the public preview stream Bandcamp serves on artist pages. Those streams are lossy and lower bitrate than the purchased files. It is useful for previewing on a commute, checking a track before buying, or saving a stream from an artist who has since taken the release down.
We would rather tell you that plainly than pretend a stream capture is equivalent to the purchase. It is not.
Key Features:
- Public preview streams from artist pages
- Album artwork where published
- Track title and artist metadata preserved
- Full albums and individual tracks
How to Use:
- Copy the video URL from Bandcamp
- Paste the URL in the input field above
- Click the "Download" button to process
- Select your preferred quality and format
- Save the file to your device
Important Limitations:
info Only public preview streams are accessible. Purchased downloads, subscriber-only releases and private streaming links are not. Preview streams are lossy and noticeably lower quality than a purchase, so if you want the release properly, buy it - the artist gets paid and you get better files. Releases removed by the artist are gone.
URL Format: Bandcamp album and track URLs look like: https://imintoliferecords.bandcamp.com/track/mah-kee-oh-halloween-theme-john-carpenter
