PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 24 September 2026

PasteDownload.com is a free tool that fetches a video from an address you paste. You do not need an account, and the downloader itself never asks for your name or e-mail address. The one place we do ask is the download-error report form, and only if you would like a reply — see section 9.

1. What our servers record

Like almost every website, our web servers keep an access log. For each request it records your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the page you came from, and the identifying string your browser sends. These logs include the video address you paste, because that address is part of the request.

We keep these logs for about 14 days, after which they are deleted automatically. We use them for one purpose: keeping the service working — finding out why a download failed, and blocking abuse and automated scraping.

We do not build profiles from them, we do not sell them, and we do not combine them with anything else to identify you.

2. What we do with the address you paste

The address goes to our own extraction servers so they can find the video file. For some sources the video is then passed through our servers to you rather than sent directly, because the source refuses to serve it otherwise.

We do not keep the videos. Files built on our servers are removed automatically, within hours at most.

3. Cookies

We do not run any analytics, so there is no cookie counting your visits.

Cookies that do get set:

• googtrans — remembers your language if the page is translated. Set by the Google Translate widget, and expires after one day.
• Advertising cookies — our advertising partners set their own, mainly so that the same advertisement is not shown to you repeatedly. See section 4.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The downloader itself works without them.

4. Advertising

This site is free, and advertising pays for the servers. We work with third-party advertising companies to fill the advertising space on this site, including advertisements that open in a separate window.

Those companies receive your IP address, your browser details and the page you are on, and may set their own cookies or similar identifiers — mainly to limit how often you see the same advertisement, and to choose which one to show you. They act as independent controllers of that data; we have no access to it, and each company’s own privacy policy governs what it does with it. We will tell you which advertising companies we currently work with if you ask.

If you are in the EU or the UK and use a browser or extension that signals your consent preferences, our advertising code passes that signal on. Otherwise, an ad blocker will stop these companies from loading at all.

5. Other services in the page

• Cloudflare — sits in front of this site as a content delivery network and security filter. All traffic passes through it, and it logs requests for security purposes.
• Google Translate — only loads if the page is translated.
• cdnjs — delivers standard code libraries that the page needs.

6. Links to other sites

Once you follow a link away from PasteDownload.com — including an advertisement — that site’s own policy applies, not this one. We have no control over those sites and cannot be responsible for them.

7. Children

This site is not intended for children under 13.

8. Your rights

If you are in a region that grants you data protection rights (such as the EU, the UK or Indonesia), you may ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. In practice the only thing we hold is a server log entry that disappears by itself within 14 days. Write to [email protected].

9. Download-error reports

If you use the form on the Report Download Error page, we store what you send us: the video address, your description of what went wrong, and — only if you fill it in — your e-mail address. We also record the address your report came from, so the form cannot be flooded.

The e-mail address is there so we can reply about your report. We cannot reply to every one. The form also has an optional tick-box asking whether you would like to hear when we add something new. It is not ticked for you, and if you leave it alone your address is used for your report and nothing else. If you do tick it, you can ask us to stop at any time.

The form and the reports it creates are on our own servers. Ask us and we will delete your report.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows when it last changed.
